Google has already had a lot of self-driving cars but non of rhem yet commercially applied yet. A patent was filed earlier this month, in this regard, taking the autonomous cars one step forward.
Considering the concept of an autonomous cars, to encouter the probable challenges and for the sake of convinience, Google says a centralized dispatching system which efficiently determes safe pick-up and drop-off locations.
Last year Google was granted a patent for “unique solution to injuries when a self driving car strikes a pedestrian.” The pedestrian is to ‘stick’ on to the front of the car to an adhesive avoiding the hurling from the impact.
Currently, Google has a functional fleet of autonomous cars operating under its brand, Waymo. These cars of various sizes deployed in confined areas like college campuses, military bases and corporate office parks.
